Calling All Jazz Pianists!
Jul 3rd, 2007 by Derrick Fung
As the owner of themusicblogger - a new blog just released into the massive abyss called the ‘internet’ - it’s my duty to promote my blog in any way I can. However, when I stumbled across this page I will discuss about in a second, I thought I would share the link to the rest of you, as I found a lot of value in it. The blog is titled Jazz Piano Online. It offers free instructional videos on Jazz Piano. Here’s a little information about the teacher:
A Berklee College of Music graduate, Myette departed Boston for Providence in 1996, created a unique instructional method for jazz piano, founded JazzKids® and published about a dozen books, all aimed at teaching jazz and improvisation to children.
The owner of the blog Jazz Piano Online must have simply taken all the videos out there by Willie Myette and consolidated them into one blog. Smart! A suggestion for the owner of the blog is to have more insightful content and articles regarding Jazz Piano - the videos are a good way to learn by following them, but sometimes it’s useful to have some content to read.
