For all the Canadian readers, Happy Canada Day! Today has been a slow day so far, but I’m hoping that things will speed up in the late-afternoon when some friends come over for a BBQ. I was taking a lot at some of the comments made on some of my blog entries today, and a reader named Alysha made a comment on my entry titled Free Sheet Music Giveaway suggested that I include the song “Wait For You” by Elliot Yamin in my contest. I’ve heard the song on the radio before, but never had a chance to download the song. I’ve included a short video clip of the song below. It has a very catchy piano introduction, giving it that whole R&B feel. Elliot Yamin actually has a myspace, located at http://www.myspace.com/elliottyamin. More and more, musicians are leveraging the internet to get their music out to the public - stay tuned for a blog entry about branding yourself as a musician. Take a look at the video below. I will be adding Elliot Yamin to the giveaway contest as well, so remember to post your comment if you want to win! If you’re interested in previewing the first page of the Elliot Yamin sheet music, see below.
