Hmm, I don’t really have one true favourite artist, seeing as I like most every genre to some extent. I prefer music which has a good melody compared to something more lively and outgoing.

One artist I’ve grown a liking to recently is Ueto Aya - she’s a foreign artist (Japanese) who sings J-Pop songs. Why her? Love her voice, and her style of music matches what I like to listen to, even though she manages to record songs with fairly different styles.

I don’t really have “one” favourite artist. I like alot of artists, some of them are the six winners of American Idol.

Eventough I live in Sweden I try to follow the show as much as I can, and the thing I like the most with the show is the fact that people, so different from each other have won the show. I love the fact that every season have a new winner who has her or his own style.

1) His amazing voice, especially his high delicate stuff. Rather than what he’s more known for, the big loud belts.
2) He’s adorable.

Because I cannot limit myself to just 1 favourite artist I’m going to have to say a few - U2 with their great and positive lyrics and awesome musicians and they are really good to see live, Sufjan Stevens because of his interesting song titles, unique sound and multi-talentedness with his ability to play 20 or so instruments, and Coldplay because I love the piano and the mood the music puts me in.

Alicia Keys hands down.. Not just out of your list.. I love her music, her style, and her personal attitude. She’s so real in… an unreal way. It’s like she’s TOO real, but it adds flair to her style and makes her songs good to ponder.

I’ve got a few… Vanessa Hudgens, cause I just LOVE her voice, it’s too sweet and also because she represents latin people; Ashley Tisdale cause I like her music in general; Miley Cyrus, I admire her cause she’s got a lot of things at a very short age; Aly and AJ cause they’re really talented, they sing beautifully, they play the guitar at the same time and they write their own songs! And last but not least Christina Aguilera because I admire her vocal range.

Like a few people above me, I do not have one favorite artist. If anything, sometimes I listen more to the words of the song and the rhythm/beat of the music than who sings it. Oh, but I do remember yearrss ago in elementary school when my favorite singer was Britney Spears. haha Anyway, thanks a lot for the music!

P.S. I think it’s a smart idea asking for a response before giving out the music. Then it doesn’t seem like you’re doing it for nothing. I mean, sure it’s a little more work on our part, but yea..

Hmm, My favourite of the four is Josh Groban. Yes he has the whole Smultz factor but what ever, he has a wonderful voice and speaks immpeccable Italian. I first heard him sing oceano and I was in awe.

Un fortunately that isn’t the one that I would like sent to me. I would like Unfaithful it wouldn’t be too much trouble. You see I’m singing at this festival and I want the sheet music to practice with and since I’m not of age to have a pay pal account, I can’t pay for the lyrics over the internet.

Favorite artist(s) - The Backstreet Boys by far. There are many singers out there who can sing very well (BSB being among them), but BSB combines good vocals with spunk, performance/dancing, and successful marketing. (Think of the 2000s boy band craze.) Also, listening to their songs brings back good childhood memories…

My favourite out of the four would be BSB!! I like how they didn’t have to rely on pop-production for hits, they just made good music. They also combined elements of RnB into their music and they just harmonized together well. Their music can also be enjoyed by older generation, they had a sort of adult-contemporary feel to some of their songs.

Hi!, first of all I want to congratulate you for this great blog! I love it, well, on the second I want to comment on my favorite artist, oh wait, it’s not that easy I have more than three favorites, but I will talk about Josh Groban, I love his music, L’ultima notte it’s amazing (well just like February Song, In her eyes, Now or Never, My December -cover of one of my favorite bands out there-, and so on). Maybe he is a favorite artist of mine because my voice its like his, our vibratos are very similar and because of that I usually cover his songs because in them I can use my full chest voice and all my passion.

A suggestion: Well, I would like February Song or Oceano of Josh Groban, that would be great, and you haven’t post any of them on the Sheet Music Batch posts.

I don’t really have a fave artist… but Alicia Keys is amazing… if you look up stuff about her, like her bio, you’d be really surprised to find out things about her that you never knew. I really like her because her instrumental stuff is great, and her lyrics are also good. She’s got her own sense of style and charm, and isn’t afraid to stick out. Aside from that she does a lot of charity work, especially helping African kids with HIV, n helping them get the medicine they need.

Josh groban. he has an amazing voice and his artistic talent is inspiring. He portrays true emotion through his pieces and you can tell he loves what he does. Also, he doesnt sing about the things that other artists of today are singing about, such as cheating, or fighting. he sings about love and sometimes pain. his songs give a true message.

Its very difficult to pick a singular favourite artist. Just like different genres affect people differently, no two people react the same to one particular artist. Its all about what you make of the music. ONe artist Im really enjoying at the moment is Jamie Cullum. He’s a very talented pianist who creates a fusion of jazz, pop, rock, and r&b. He’s a true entertainer knowing how to really speak to his audience but has a a solid piano background and does amazing piano solos!

I love the Backstreet Boys. They may be some cheezy pop boys band from the 90s, but their songs have meaning to me. “I Want It That Way” was my first favourite song by them. Everytime I listen to “Unfaithful” and “Remember When It Rained” I get choked up a little bit. These songs are beautiful. Rihanna has an amazing voice, and uses it to the best of he abilities. Josh Groban is up and rising further, and one of his best and most used I think is “When You Say You Love Me” but “Remember When It Rained” is a close second. Groban has one of the best male voices I have heard in a long, long time. I would really love it if you sent me those three songs! thanks!

Led Zeppelin
Of course I could mention each members’ superb contributions to the musical sound that is Led Zeppelin, but what really got me hooked was when I realized they referenced one of my favorite books (LotR) in multiple songs. And their sound is AMAZING. I hope they do a worldwide tour so I can see them (I heard Bonham’s son did a stellar job!)

And thanks for all this music! I’ve tended only to play classical music (which I love) but I’ve really been trying to get my hands on more modern music (especially those songs that my friends will recognize!) I’m so happy I found this site! :o)

My favorite artist is Dave Matthews. I love his music, and when he sings, he uses his whole body and so much emotion. He is a powerful performer. It’s really an amazing experience to watch him bring his music to life in concert. I’ve been a fan of his since I was 12 years old, and I’m 23 now. I don’t think I will ever get sick of Dave Matthews.

My favourite artist/band is Coldplay. Their music always speaks to me, even in a slightly haunted-depressed type of way. They write all their own stuff, which shows talent. They always put their best work out there and nothing less. I love their piano parts in their songs, and love how all of the instruments come together in their songs.

My favorite artist would be a tough tie between Josh Groban and Chicago.

Chicago reminds me of my childhood because they’re my dad’s favorite, and they’ve got some fantastic brass parts.

my favorite new(ish) artist is augustana bc they’re so eager and you can hear the passion in their voices and see it in their faces when they perform; they’re absolutely amazing. but i’d have to say backstreet boys have always been a favorite of mine. you can’t just let go of something you’ve loved for ten straight years. they just know how to craft the most perfect pop ballads and they all have such distinct voices. i love them all.

my favorite artist would have to be rascal flatts, evanesence, or nickelback. i love all types of music, but each of these groups has something very unique aobut them. i’m not really a true country fan, but rascal flatts’ sound gives them a new age country feel, and i really like that. evanesence just speaks to me with some of her songs, and i’ve always been a nickelback fan; just enough rock for me.

hard to decide, but one of my favourite artists is Damien Rice. i think he’s a really soulful singer with amazing lyrics. his songs are incredibly moving, with some of my faves being “blower’s daughter”, “amie”, and “accidental babies”.

I love Josh groban, the main reason being his tonality in voice! Coheed and Cambria. I don’t know if they count as a favourite ‘artist’ but in my eyes, they’re amazing. Their music is great, the lyrics are even better, and the concept of their themes for their albums is really interesting.
