Violins seem to have their own personalities - the relationship between violin and violinist is one of the greatest things about playing. There's just something about that varnished, polished wood that makes me feel very at home. I don't think it's the best because of the respect or status it gets in orchestras, or for how small it is (really?), but just the simple beauty of the instrument. It is unique, elegant, wildly emotional, sweet, and raw.

Plus, how else could you play songs about rosin-eating zombies from outer space?

To me, my violin is like my child. I take care of it like it was a real person. When I play my violin, it feels like i can do anything. While I'm playing, it feels as if all my troubles were washed away and that I'm floating on a cloud in the sky. I want someone to try this: while playing your violin, think about what makes you happy and what makes you sad. Then push all that away and relax. Once you do that focus on what you think makes you feel important or special. To me, that helps because I'm usually stressed out when it's time for my orchestra class. So i relax and play at the same time. I feel at peace when I play violin.

The violin is the superior to all because of all the music that can be played on it. It can go up to the highest note in an orchestra of strings, has a unique sound, and one of the most easist to play. People have heard of the violin a whole lot more than the cello or viola. Violins mostly have the melody in musics and people prefer to listen to it the most! Violin rocks!!

The violin is the best instrument out there because it is an instrument that can go both ways of either being "elegant" or "obnoxious." Many people do not like the violin because it mostly pertains to classical music. However, they are proven wrong when jazz is made possible to play on violin, even hip-hop. The violin has also been modified so that it can be an electric instrument--a breakthrough in music. This makes the violin possible for rock, as well! Either way, the violin can be played on many different genres, from classical to hip-hop, and gains more respect through this.

The violin takes up two large sections in an orchestra-- first violin and second violin, while the other two string instruments viola and cello only take up one.

3. One instrument, four strings, yet it can produce a diverse range of tones. In fact, it produces the highest notes of the orchestra. Being an orchestra member for over eight years, I have only loved playing the violin even more.

3. Violin's the best because we always are on top of things and have the prettiest parts. It takes a lot more skill to learn than piano or woodwinds, and we're usually the most hard-core about playing. We're also the most versatile because we span from medieval music to modern classical as well as fiddle. We're just amazing!
