Watching Your Favourite Musicians Live
Jul 12th, 2007 by Derrick Fung
Have you ever wondered how your favourite musicians sound live? Your favourite artist may sound amazing recorded on CD, but ever wonder how they sound when there’s no editing, overdubbing, or pitch-fixing involved? Some artists are amazing both on CD and live, but there are some who are terrible live - and I’m sure you can attest to that! A great way to listen to your favourite artists (a
nd see them as well) is on AOL Music Sessions. Aside from the annoying 15-30 second commercials before each performance, it’s just as good as watching them live in concert. They have a huge archive of artists that include Michael Buble, Rihanna, and the All American Rejects. I’ve spent countless hours on this site checking out my favourite artists including Coldplay, Michael Buble, and Neyo. Have some time to spare? Here’s what you have to do:
- Visit http://music.aol.com
- Click the link under “Sessions”. Right now, they’re featuring Fergie.
- Once that opens up, click “Sessions Archive” and browse around to find your favourite artist(s).
Upcoming Posts:
- Some pictures from the studio, along with Part 2 of the Project Studio Series.
- Sheet Music Batch 6
- Don’t forget about the Free Sheet Music Giveaway that’s currently still running - the draw will be on July 31st.

My personal favourites are Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, and John Mayer (my J list!). Another artist that comes to mind that had a great live performance is Simple Plan - saw them on Much once and was blown away by their performance. Matchbox Twenty/Rob Thomas is pretty sick too.
Can’t wait til Batch 6!
