The Music Blogger

Here’s a message to officially welcome you to themusicblogger.com. Let me introduce myself. My name is Derrick Fung - musician and blogger. I play the piano, guitar, and bass guitar. I have had multiple ventures online, including the successful creation of qualitysheetmusic.com. Now, you may be asking, what is this blog about? Let me tell you. I believe that a successful blog has a few key attributes and characteristics - find out what they are and how I will cater to those traits below:

Passionate Writer: Every blog undoubtedly needs a writer who is passionate about their blog and about the topics encompassed by the blog. I have been a musician since I was 4. I started with the Piano, and slowly moved on to the guitar, bass guitar, and a little bit of drums. Currently, I have my own home recording studio in my basement which I try to use on a regular basis. As you can see, music is my life - it is a medium in which I use to express myself or relieve stress. I know how hard it is for a newly ‘born’ musician to start up their career. I will do my best to write insightful articles and provide content which I hope you can use to aid your musical life!

Unique and Insightful Content: This is KEY. Though it is interesting to sometimes gain insight on one’s life, if the writer is not providing good content, what’s the incentive for the readers to return? At themusicblogger.com, I will be providing readers with things like:

1. Reviews of various music software, including Noteworthy and Band in a Box.
2. Free User-interpreted Sheet Music (examples include Michael Buble, Coldplay and Norah Jones)
3. Review on music equipment (especially home recording equipment)
4. Free articles and E-books on how to gain skills and experience through practice and leveraging the ‘tricks of the trade’.

I’m hoping that themusicblogger.com will be your sole resource for anything related to the development of your musical skills and ambitions!

Regularly Updated: We are all busy people. A succesful blog should be regularly updated (I would say at least 3 times a week) to ensure that users are constantly driven back for fresh new content. As a blogger, I will do my best to provide readers with QUALITY updates.

    Hello! I just came across your site today through a friend on Facebook. This is a really awesome place to explore - I’ve been surfing around for at least an hour. I subscribed to the e-mail list, too. I was wondering if I could request the piano sheet music for songs from the Titanic soundtrack? If that is too many, the songs Southampton and Hymn to the Sea are my favorites. And also One Day from the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End soundtrack. I’m going to try really hard not to list any more requests, at least for now. I’ll definitely be sticking around this site.
